0668: Around the AHL

Welcome to Minor League Week on the Concepts page! And just to get really crazy, we're doing individual theme days within this theme week. As you can see, today is about the American Hockey League. Thomas Hopkins gets us started with this clever use of the old Atlanta Flames logo for the Abbotsford Heat. I think a grey and red team would look fantastic!

Ryan Haslett decided to get a little creative with his hometown Toronto Marlies, creating a new crest to go with his two-tone blue sweater. Another solid one there!

A newcomer to the Concepts page, Cody Smith reimagined the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a little with this wordmark-centric uniform set. The throwback to the Pittsburgh jersey from the '90s saves it.

And we'll wrap up with Avi Stein's idea for a Binghamton Senators third jersey. The "B" works just as well as the "O" there — if not better!

Tomorrow we'll see some of the entries to the ECHL's 2015 All-Star Game jersey design contest.

0662: Ohio Pride

Today we get a neat alternate jersey design for the Blue Jackets from Avi Stein. He writes:

I think that the Jackets should try to market themselves better to the entire state of Ohio, as a lot of people from the Cleveland area follow Buffalo, Detroit, Chicago, Pittsburgh, etc. So, this uniform speaks to the fan-base, and solidifies the notion that the Columbus Blue Jackets are indeed Ohio's team.

0634: The Jets Set

The military theme of the Winnipeg Jets seems to be pretty popular. Avi Stein has taken it a step farther with this minimalist set.

He's even included a throwback-inspired third jersey.

0624: New Classics

As we continue to wait on the unveiling of the Stadium Series jersey designs, Avi Stein has a pair for the Rangers/Devils game at Yankee Stadium. Each is a neat re-imagining of the teams' past uniform designs. Would you enjoy seeing either of these in action in January?

0471: Last Hurrah for Dallas

The big day is tomorrow in both Raleigh and Dallas. But since the Hurricanes aren't changing their logos or colors, they're not quite as fertile ground for concept artists as the Stars. So I've got one more Stars post featuring three unique attempts. Avi Stein leads off with the starry D.

Icethetics regular Justin Nahhas did a little something in the style of the Lightning — in fact simply recolored actual Lightning jerseys to come up with this set. It's a solid color scheme.

And finally, Thierry Dick squeezes in his second Stars concept in less than a week with this gorgeous kit. He's employed the logos that were leaked a couple weeks ago.

Which of these three styles is your favorite for Dallas? And how eager are you to see what the team actually has in store tomorrow?
