2016 Rebranding Project: City Selection
/Hope you're enjoying the holiday weekend. Welcome to the next exciting step in the process of rebranding some IceHL teams! This week we're selecting new cities.
UPDATE · Jul 6 · After just a few days, almost 2,700 votes have been cast in the polls below! So we're taking the top two choices from each to make our final decision.
As the Narwhals prepare to depart Yellowknife, fans are excited about the possibility of moving to the Dakotas. The second choice was tougher with San Francisco just edging out the Yukon.
On the other side, the Outlaws seem ready to leave Dallas but not necessarily the Lone Star State. We could potentially keep the Texas name if the team moves to San Antonio. On the other hand, it could be the Ozarks region with Kansas City, Memphis and Little Rock on the ballot.
The results of these polls will be announced this weekend! Then we'll start taking name nominations for all four teams being rebranded.
Keep in mind that fans will be able to suggest names for any of the cities listed in the winning option. Meaning, if Kansas City/Memphis/Little Rock wins, we will accept names for any of those cities and the team would be officially relocated once the new name is selected.
