Stanley Cup Hangover
/The 2013-14 NHL season officially ended last night with the NHL Awards in Las Vegas. Today, we take a look at a set of designs for the 2014 Stanley Cup opponents from Ben Macdonald. They're definitely one of a kind.
Washington Doppelgänger
/Ben Macdonald put together a series of NHL third jersey last year. This one for the Capitals reminds me a little of the striping pattern found the IceHL's Washington Sentinels sweaters. Check out page 66 of the Yearbook if you don't believe me.
0685: Johnny Canuck

As Tampa/Vancouver Week winds down, we continue to explore the Canucks' ongoing identity crisis. On Tuesday, the stick-in-the-rink logo was featured. Today, the star is Johnny Canuck. John Elbertson created this set with a home, road and retro-inspired alternate jersey.
Now how about in green?
Ben Macdonald's contribution would actually fit in quite nicely with John's home and road set. And that Johnny Canuck logo really stands out well on green.
Devin Durocher also went with green but I thought his overall feel was different enough from Ben's to warrant posting them together. Do you have a preference? Would you like to see Johnny Canuck on the chest of a Vancouver player someday?
By the way, is there a reason why everyone who designed a Johnny Canuck jersey put a goalie's name and number on the back? Weird, right?

Ben Macdonald has been a regular contributor to our IceHL jersey design contests. Today, he presents a blue third jersey for the Nashville Predators — inspired by the team's previous alternate uniform. I could see this working out very nicely!

All last week we covered the AHL. Monday the OHL, Tuesday the WHL, yesterday the ECHL, and today, we wrap up another Minor League Week with the QMJHL. Ben MacDonald sent in this Halifax Mooseheads option some time ago. It's a very simplified look for the team from Nova Scotia — even if it is a little Christmas-y. What do you think of it?
