For this week's minor league offering, Dylan Nowak presents a retro kit for the AHL's Rochester Americans — famous, like Hershey, for their frequent use of specialty throwback jerseys.
It's been a while since we've seen something new from Justin Nahhas. Today he gives a great new set of Rochester Americans jerseys. Really sharp!
I decided to take requests from Twitter this week to determine which concepts to post next. I've been so inundated with great artwork it's been difficult to decide.
Mike asked to see a Rochester Americans design. Luckily, I've been hanging on to this one from Jason Devald. It's a very modern take on a very old team.
What do you think? Could it work as a specialty jersey for a few nights during the season?

Minor League Week proceeds with another AHL franchise, one not so much in need of a rebrand. The Rochester Americans were hit hard by their league's switch the Reebok Edge uniforms, but it wasn't long before the problems were rectified. So that's not what this concept is about. Instead, Chris Wright demonstrates what the Amerks might look like if they wanted to look more like their NHL parent club, the Sabres, with which they were recently reunited. It's probably more of a lateral move than anything, but it's an interesting notion. Anyone else want to take a stab at redesigning AHL team sweaters to match their NHL affiliates?
