The logo for the 2019 NHL Winter Classic at Notre Dame Stadium was unveiled this morning. It is distinctly different from its decade of predecessors in terms of its shape and color scheme. The game will take place on Jan. 1 between the Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins.

Designed as a collaboration between Fanbrandz — known for their Winter Classic work over the years — and NHL Creative Services, the mark "features an ice-frosted, green iconic shamrock, a tip o' the hat to the famed history and fabled legacy of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish," according to the NHL's press release.

Jerseys for the game have not been released yet. Last year, they came out on Black Friday, the height of Christmas shopping season. So we may still have a long wait for those.
