In honor of the Blue Jackets’ sudden third jersey announcement this morning, I thought it would be a good time to share this one from the vault. Brian Brideau submitted his Columbus third jersey idea about five years ago and I just haven’t gotten around to posting it until now.
I know we just had a concept from John Elbertson a few days ago, but this one was too good not to share on this Minor League Sunday. He submitted it for a jersey design contest the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings were holding. Why they didn’t choose it is beyond me! It’s also the first-ever K-Wings concept posted to Icethetics.
For this week’s Outdoor Saturday, we revisit the 2019 NHL Stadium Series in Philadelphia. Jerseys haven’t been released yet but Collin Moore is predicting something a bit unusual.

The Colorado Avalanche may or may not have their new third jersey present at their Fan Fest at the end of this month, but I am expecting them to go back to their 2015 alternate. Here, Lucas Daitchman reimagines that jersey a bit with traditional striping and the Avs’ primary crest.
