Imaginary Throwback

Colin May has been working on a series of alternate jerseys for NHL teams. Today he attempts one for the Toronto Maple Leafs. It's more of a fauxback than anything from the team's own history. But it's a cool look and definitely something I could imagine coming from the turn of the last century.

Chicago, Wear This Now

When I saw this Blackhawks concept by Colin May, I was absolutely blown away. How simple, yet remarkably brilliant. My message to Chicago is "wear this now!" At the very least, it should be the next third jersey. Am I alone on that one?

What Can Brown Do?

This is the final week of Icethetics as you know it. On Saturday, everything changes. Except the Concepts page, really. New artwork will still be posted daily. But let's make the most of this anyway. Colin May is back with some new stuff. He put together a solid old-timey look for the Boston Bruins. Hey, maybe they should be Washington's opponent for the 2015 Winter Classic.

0411: Vancouver Mash-Up

Today, Colin May has a jersey concept that merges the Canucks' late '90s look with that of Vancouver's WHL club — the Giants. It's not a bad look, but I can't say this was my favorite color scheme in Canucks history — and they have had more than a few.

0320: Pittsburgh Flashback

Colin May shares a blue Penguins jersey similar to what was used during the team's inaugural season in 1967. Any appetite to see it come back someday?
