Chicago named host of 2017 NHL Draft
Hosting duties for the 2017 NHL Draft have been awarded to Chicago. The NHL made the announcement Thursday night. It will be the first time the city has ever hosted the event.
The league also released a preliminary logo design, which follows the template and styling that's been in place since 2010. Although the base color is black again after two years in navy blue for hosts Florida and Buffalo.
That's really all there is to it at this point. A full version of the logo will likely come next winter featuring the Chicago skyline or something similar.
