AHL outdoor game for 2015-16 officially announced
This winter, the outdoor hockey returns to California by way of the AHL with the 2015 Golden State Hockey Rush. The event was announced Wednesday.
RS Ice Sports & Entertainment and Entercom Communications Sacramento are teaming up to put on the "Biggest Show on Snow" at Raley Field over the holidays — including a regular season game between the Stockton Heat and Bakersfield Condors.
To NHL fans, it might be like watching an outdoor match between the Flames and Oilers given these minor league clubs wear the same jerseys.
It's not clear whether the Heat and Condors will have specialty jerseys for this game though these outdoor AHL games often do.
This will be the eighth outdoor game in AHL history. Here's a list of them all from the league's press release:
